about

This Ground We Walk is an album representative of the various paths we all take as individuals, and Stuart’s musical styles reflect folk, indie, americana, gospel and blues. He recorded the album primarily at the sanctuary in Summit Church in downtown Asheville, as well as basements and living rooms. Parker Heck of Jumpship Records recorded the album.
The songs represent a span of many years and track Stuart’s musical journey from highschool through his college years. The lyrics have roots in scripture, folk songs, and negro spirituals. His friend and fellow musician Scott Carpenter also brings flamenco influences to the mix. Other people who recorded on the album are: Thomas Mims, Tara Lancaster, Andrew Johnson, Daniel Addington, Dan Hall, Jody Heck, Parker Heck and Annalee Kwochka.
